Foreword and welcome from Tim Pearce from Tec 66

After the very encouraging successes and positive feedback which we received for the original Tec 66 Conference in 2013 I am pleased to be involved with the latest presentation in 2014.

The key high tech companies in the ‘1066 Country Vacuum Cluster’ are once again taking the opportunity to show off their latest developments and products to a wide variety of potential and new customers and staff at this latest meeting.

This year they will be supported by talks from leading scientific presenters from the worlds of Organic Electronics, Space Research, Vacuum Technology and Cryogenics.

This meeting is specifically designed to make the scientific community at large more aware of all the potential 1066 Country has in terms of niche organisations producing novel products for the most advanced applications of science covering nano- science to advanced communications using the high level skills of work forces built up in this area of the South East of England, more normally associated with fishing and farming, over the last thirty years.

Moreover the opportunities this brings for scientists and engineers seeking an area of outstanding beauty in which they can find rewarding work serving world markets and providing ideal facilities in which to live and bring up a family are unparalleled.

I welcome you all to an exciting and thought provoking weekend where you can learn about some of the latest advances in science and engineering and at the same time experience one of the most beautiful parts of England and sample the life enriching aspects of the surrounding seascapes and countryside with all the associated gastronomic delights and entertainment and leisure opportunities.

We look forward to seeing you on this years event.
